課程概述

Course Description
A variety of works selected from those written by early European explorers of the North American continent to those by eighteenth century American writers. The literary trends within this long period and the historical, philosophical, and social aspects of the literary movements will be introduced accordingly. Class discussions are related to the changes, responses and adaptations in the literary circles.

1. Intensive reading on American literary masterpieces;
2. Encourage critical thinking and discussion through class presentation and discussion.
